Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden is a leader in her field. She has the distinction of being one of the few women to ever become a director on the board for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery as well as be featured regularly on television and in magazines. Recently she has announced that she is leaving her successful practice in Manhattan to return to her hometown of Austin, Texas to open a new practice. Dr. Walden was raised in the Northwest Hills neighborhood of Austin where she grew up with her parents and siblings. She cites her twin sons for the reason she returned to the town that she grew up in.
Jennifer Walden attended school in Austin at the The University of Texas where she received her undergrad degree. She went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After graduating, she received an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Walden was only one of the two accepted into the fellowship program that year. After her fellowship was complete, she stayed on to work at the hospital in Manhattan. She returned to her hometown after giving birth to her twin boys so that they could grow up close to her family.
Since relocating and opening her new practice in Austin, Dr. Walden has managed to not only reestablish herself as a doctor but has managed to grow her business. She works out of the Westlake Medical Center and is best known for using advance technology with her patients. She also has a reputation of being warm, kind, and calm. Her demeanor helps put her patients at-ease however there is no mistaken that there is a power behind her as well. She thrives on challenges and never lets anything stand in the way of something she hopes to achieve. Not only is Dr. Walden a first-class surgeon, but she hopes to serve as an inspiration to other women.
